As you know, I love to travel. Whether it's for an antique-ing trip the next town over, a roadtrip out of state, or a flight across the world, I really enjoy traveling and getting to see new places.
(If you haven't checked it out yet, here's Our 2018 Travel List.)
While there are quite a few places still on my list to see, I've thankfully been able to travel to some pretty incredible countries! Here's a brief look at five beautiful and colorful international destinations I've visited
I have to admit, while my family lived there for a year, it hardly counts as a place I've experienced because I was only two-years-old. Nevertheless, there are some pretty fond memories in our family from our time there, and I love to look back at the photos. Every time I lay in a hammock, I think of Brazil. I would love to visit someday.
(I will have to round up a photo from our time there - this one is just of a hammock in my parents' back yard in Texas, haha.)
I had the awesome opportunity to travel for 10 days to London with my university's department of education at the end of one semester. It was incredible! My feet were seriously exhausted by the end of it, but it was pretty worth it. Even with 10 days to explore, there were some things we just didn't have time to see. While I would never ever move there (too big for me!), I'd go back for a trip if I got the chance.
This trip changed my life! This was the first country I visited on a mission-trip, as a very passionate little fifteen-year-old. (I hope to share soon about when I first felt called to missions!) Our small team did a lot of "street evangelism," as you call it, and it confirmed in me a desire to go to the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
I have been to Mexico twice on mission-trips. I love the culture and getting to practice my Spanish. For a long time I thought I might end up in Mexico permanently some day, partially for my love of Spanish.
This trip was also a mission-trip that pretty much changed my life. More on that another day! South Africa is absolutely stunning, and I would for sure like to return someday. We saw some pretty beautiful places along the way, including Table Mountain. Hope to see it again!
That sums up my international travels so far, but I'm sure not done!
Tell me about your favorite international destinations!
