As you may have seen in my post Healthy Cookbook for Two: 10 Recipes to Try, my husband and I have been scouting out some healthier meal options to make throughout the week.
We also love finding recipes that are simple and can be made with ingredients we already have on hand.
Sunday night I decided to make some super easy turkey chili, inspired by both a recipe in the aforementioned book and a family recipe my Dad always makes. I considered what we had on hand and took some liberties.
Here’s a delicious, fast recipe for turkey chili that you can whip up any night of the week.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 - 15 minutes
Total time: Approximately 20 minutes
Note: When I made this, I did not have any onion, chili powder, or cumin, but I think they would be great additions to the dish.
It’s great served over rice and sprinkled with cheese, with crescent rolls or garlic bread on the side. I think it would also taste great with some beans added in!
This dish is so simple, filling, and delicious. We had leftovers that I will gladly eat for lunch tomorrow!
Any great chili recipes to share?
